Testicle pain
There are many possible pain causes in the testicles (balls). Sometimes, testicle pain can be more severe; seek medical help immediately if the pain is sudden or doesn’t go away.
Testicle pain causes
Twisting the testicle can cause sudden severe pain, which can also lead to the loss of the testicle if not treated quickly. Less severe causes of testicle pain can include:
- An infection
- An injury
- Hernia
- A build-up of the cyst (fluid) in testicles
- Swollen veins in the testicles
The testicle pain not can always be a sign of testicular cancer. Cancer causes other symptoms, such as swelling or a lump in your testicle. Don’t self-diagnose the reason for your pain. Seek medical help if you are worried.
Consult a doctor if
- You are discomfort or aching in your testicles
- You lump your testicles
- Have swollen testicles

- There is a change in the shape of your testicles
- There is a change in the way your testicles feel
- One testicle becomes bigger than the other
