Night sweats

Night sweats are also known as excessive perspiration or sweating during the night. They are an uncomfortable part of a few people and may be associated with anxiety, depression, or difficulty sleeping. In many cases, sweats, particularly night sweats, aren’t severe symptoms. But it is essential to know the reason behind it. 

It’s standard to sweat at night if the room or bed is too hot. But night sweats are when you turn your night clothes too soaking wet, though you are sleeping in a cool room. Both children and adults can get night sweats.

In some instances, the cause of night sweats is unknown. But the common reasons for night sweats are the following:

  • Low blood sugar
  • Drug or alcohol abuse

  • Hyperhidrosis condition
