A low white blood cell count means the human body is not producing enough white blood cells, which can increase the risk of developing an infection.

A blood test will help to identify your body’s white blood cell count. The treatments will depend on what causes the condition and often include antibiotics, but you might need particular treatment:

  • If you have any infection due to a low white blood cell count

Consult a doctor if you feel you are at risk of a low white blood cell count and have an infection or if you have recurring infections.
