There is no particular cure for joint hypermobility syndrome. The primary treatments involve improving muscle strength and fitness for better joint protection. The physical therapies can help you:

Joint hypermobility syndrome causes
The syndrome tends to run in genetics and has no prevention. When the ligaments that should strengthen the joints are weak, the joint gets loose and stretchy.

The weakness is that collagen differs from people. Experts believe that the syndrome is a part of hypermobility disorders. So some people with hypermobility spectrum disorders don’t have symptoms.
Joint hypermobility syndrome self-care
- Start with low-impact exercises like cycling or swimming if you have not been active lately
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Wear proper supportive shoes
- Wear shoes with special insoles recommended by a podiatrist
- Don’t extend the joint because you can
- Don’t do repetitive exercises or activities, do it with regular breaks.
