Elbow and arm pains are not typical signs of something severe. If it isn’t going away even after a few weeks, consult a doctor.
Ease your elbow and arm pain with the following steps for 1–2 days
- Frozen packs on the pain region for 5 minutes, three times a day
- Consider painkillers
- Try raising your arm if it’s swollen
Consult a doctor if:
- The pain doesn’t go away for weeks
- Hurts while exercising
- Swollen and you have a high temperature
- Painful and difficult to move
- Feeling numb
- Snapping noise
- Change in shape
Elbow and arm pain causes
Apart from injuries, the following are the causes of elbow and arm pain:

- Sprains or strains
- Frozen shoulder
- Arthritis
- Inflamed shoulder
