Elbow and arm pain

Elbow and arm pains are not typical signs of something severe. If it isn’t going away even after a few weeks, consult a doctor. 

Ease your elbow and arm pain with the following steps for 1–2 days

  • Frozen packs on the pain region for 5 minutes, three times a day
  • Consider painkillers
  • Try raising your arm if it’s swollen 

Consult a doctor if:

  • The pain doesn’t go away for weeks
  • Hurts while exercising
  • Swollen and you have a high temperature
  • Painful and difficult to move
  • Feeling numb
  • Snapping noise
  • Change in shape

Elbow and arm pain causes

Apart from injuries, the following are the causes of elbow and arm pain:

  • Tendonitis
  • Sprains or strains
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Arthritis
  • Inflamed shoulder
